PRACTICES FOR READERS OF HOW TO FREEFALL
You read it.
Now, practice.
You read through the practices. Now here they are, recorded, so you don't have to hold the whole framework in your head while you're trying to witness, be, and allow.
Audio recordings of both Leaves on a Stream and The Do-Nothing Practice live here. Use one, use both, come back whenever the noise gets loud. No sign-up, no email required. Just press play.
The Do-Nothing Practice
A ten-minute practice in stillness, receptivity, and letting go of the impulse to manage your inner world. You don't need to clear your mind, create a particular experience, or do anything “right.”
No fixing, interpreting, or trying to make anything happen. Just notice what arises, let it be, and practice the radical act of doing nothing with it.
Leaves on the Stream
Your thoughts are going to keep coming. The practice is to stop getting swept away by them.
In this guided practice, you'll watch your thoughts move through your awareness like leaves floating down a stream. As you practice letting each thought pass, notice the space between thoughts—and begin to rest in the stillness that's already there.
You don't need to get rid of your thoughts. You only need to stop mistaking them for who you are.
