Meditation: Observation with Non-Attachment

Line drawing of a person sitting cross-legged in a meditation pose with light rays around their head.

Begin in stillness. Sit with a relatively straight spine and simply observe your breath.

Once you’re settled, bring your attention to the stream of thoughts moving through your mind. Not the content — just the pace and intensity.

Are your thoughts racing or calm? Loud or quiet?
Are you swept away by them, or can you rest in the role of observer?

With each breath, remind yourself:
Anything you can observe is not you.
You are not your thoughts — you are the awareness behind them.
